Two weeks later...

Well, we officially made it through the first two weeks. Kraig went back to work last week and we survived. Kate's been doing pretty well (with this morning as the exception). Jackson must be in the midst of a growth spurt because he's nursing non-stop. Can't wait for that to end:) He's a great eater. We had a checkup on Friday and he was up to 7lbs 14ounces. He was 7lbs 4oz when we left the hospital. The doctor was quite pleased with his weight gain. I'm very grateful that he's such a good eater and that breastfeeding seems to be going well. It's definitely a lot different than it was with Kate. Jack had been sleeping well, sleeping for three hours in between feedings at night. With this growth spurt, however, sleep hasn't been so great the last two nights. I can tell I need extra sleep, because I'm having trouble being patient with Kate. Yes, she hasn't been great the past couple days, but I know it's magnified because of the lack of sleep.

Physically, I'm feeling great. Recovery has been so much easier this time around. Both babies were the same size, so the only difference is that Kate paved the way. I just feel so much better. We've even made it to church both Sundays that Jack's been here. And remember, I'm a minister's wife who gets the kids ready on my own. Pretty impressive in my book. I'm also super excited about my weight loss. I'm down 19 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight, which is a total of 26 pounds lost since having Jack. Now if only I could find time for a shower...:)

Time to make lunch!
